ABOUT My name is Lisa Westervelt, a stained glass artist located in Ewing, NJ. I've been working with stained glass since 1999. Many of the designs you'll find on this website are my own original artwork. You can find me at local craft shows in the Spring, Fall, and Winter. Stained glass makes a great gift and leaves a lasting impression, being enjoyed for years to come. Contact Me at if you would like something in particular. PROCESS Each completed work is unique in a way that only handmade stained glass can be. With variations in color and texture (or streakiness) of the glass, even if it is the same pattern, every piece takes on a life of its own. Making the pattern from original artwork is a process all in itself. The final design/drawing is traced onto stiff board with a carbon paper, then cut out with a utility knife. Each individual piece is then traced onto the desired piece of glass. The glass is then cut with a glass cutter or ring saw and shaped with a grinder. Once the pieces are exact to the pattern, it is reassembled, each piece is foiled and soldered together. Patina is applied to the solder seams to color them and polished to completion!
